Street artist Glod wins “NFT Project of the Year 2022” award

Marcin Glod convinces with his NFT art project “Crypto Panther Club” and is awarded “NFT Project of the Year 2022”. US rapper Akon congratulates on his success.

Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs for short, have been traded for thousands of euros since 2017. The artwork “The first 5000 Days” by US artist Mike Winkelmann was sold for the astounding 69.3 million US dollars in 2021 and is now considered the most expensive NFT artwork ever sold. Austrian artists have also already joined the NFT world: in 2021, Viennese artist Marcin Glod launches the “Crypto Panther Club” and promptly wins the prestigious title “NFT Project of the Year 2022” at the Asia Investment & Banking Conference (AIBC Asia) Award Show in Dubai (UAE) with his first NFT project. Glod presented his exclusive “Crypto Panther Club” at the AIBC Asia 2022 show, which attracted renowned tech luminaries to the Middle Eastern metropolis from 20 to 23 March 2022. US rap legend as well as co-founder of the cryptocurrency “Akoin” Akon congratulated the Viennese artist and aims for a joint collaboration in the future.

The “Crypto Panther Club”

The club holds a collection of 5,555 unique 2D NFT artworks, the central motif of which is a panther, almost Glod’s trademark. Yet no two “Crypto-Panthers” are alike. Each version differs in background, colour, clothing, headgear, accessories and tattoo. The “Crypto Panther” is also an entrance ticket to the club, which offers its members a variety of “real life benefits”. Among other things, they have the chance to win artworks by Glod and Banksy worth a total of over 300,000 euros, receive invitations to exclusive villa parties with star DJs in hip party destinations such as Ibiza (Spain), Los Angeles (USA) and Dubai (UAE) and VIP admissions to all art exhibitions of the “Crypto Panther Club” as well as the opportunity to attend private dinner parties with artists. In the future, members will also decide to which charities and non-profit organisations the club will donate a portion of the profits.

Even before the official launch, the “Crypto Panther Club” has already registered around 2,000 members. People interested in joining can already register in advance at the club’s Discord forum, where they will receive information and updates about the launch and also have the chance to get a place on the whitelist. It guarantees 555 NFT-interested people the preferential and early purchase of the NFT artwork by Glod.
