From a press release:
“Whatever will they think of next? Jack Mayer and Jack Walten (the “Jacks”), founders of Sea Suite Cruises, who brought the first pedal boat bars to the Potomac with the Paddle Club, have launched Potomac Tiki Club, an 18-passenger party-on-the-water craft sailing out of Georgetown Harbor.
The teal-blue floating tiki bar operating with an engine, unlike the Paddle Club boats that require some passenger peddling to move, takes 90-minute cruises towards the Key Bridge and Rosslyn, past the Twin Sisters, circles back to pass Riverview landmarks like Georgetown University, The Kennedy Center, Watergate Hotel, the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.
The Potomac Tiki Boat has a semi-circular bar at its center with seating around, a lounge area and a bathroom on board. All cruises come equipped with a dedicated bartender and a USCG-certified Master Captain.
The cruises are popular for groups, bachelorette/bachelor parties, family celebrations, corporate bonding experiences and simply as a new way to see the sights from a river vantage point. Anheuser-Busch beers and canned cocktails are available for purchase along with wines and seltzers. Passengers may bring their own food and snacks.
Priced at $45-$55 per person, cruises may be booked here.”
